Challenge
KEV needed to move from an ageing Maximo 6 environment while deciding which historical customisations, licences and applications should actually be carried into the upgraded platform. Existing hardware also formed part of the future HA strategy.
Principal Consultant Contribution
Developed the comprehensive upgrade proposal and introduced a Bridge-to-Cloud environment as a continuity option while the existing platform was upgraded and hardware repositioned for HA.
Reviewed KEV’s user population against the Maximo licensing matrix to right-size the investment rather than simply carrying forward the existing licence footprint.
Assessed custom HSE and Budget functionality against newer Maximo capabilities. Recommended moving the custom Budget application toward standard functionality, while determining that the full HSE licence was not commercially justified for KEV’s limited required use cases.
Used available Cognos capability to build dashboards from existing operational data so the organisation could gain value from BI features already included in the proposition.
