Challenge
HP’s Malaysian manufacturing operation was introducing IBM Maximo into an environment where enterprise systems and SAP were centrally governed. Local stakeholders also needed to understand Maximo’s different licensing and access model.
Principal Consultant Contribution
Led the Maximo implementation and worked with local and global stakeholders to align the platform with engineering-maintenance requirements.
Educated the local organisation on how Maximo licensing operated and helped determine the appropriate user population for maintenance activities.
Negotiated improved commercial terms with IBM, enabling additional technicians and schedulers to be onboarded without making licensing a barrier to adoption. The solution was subsequently extended through SAP MM integration.
